ISQ Group supervises works to Santa Justa Lift
Since September of this year, a multidisciplinary team from ISQ's construction department has carried out the inspection of the conservation and rehabilitation works of the Santa Justa Lift located in Lisbon (2nd phase).
Classified as a National Monument, this century-old cast iron structure dating back to 1902 and designed by architect Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, is rich in detail with cast iron filigree motifs. The ageing and degradation which these kinds of structures typically suffer gave rise to the rehabilitation works which ISQ has been participating in within the context of the consultancy, supervision and quality control of the works.
ISQ's collaboration with CARRIS – TRANSPORTES DE LISBOA dates back to 2008, with the survey of the state of conservation of the metal structure works and the preparation of the technical specifications for the conservation and rehabilitation works.
