Q Platform used in innovative services

The Q Platform developed by BIN (ISQ Group) was used by RTP and NOS to launch two QR CODE-based services.

Through QR CODE technology, RTP, by connecting the mobile with the TV screen, created an innovative pastime. For three days, during the broadcast of the programme "Verão Total", viewers had the opportunity to add points by scanning the QR Codes that appeared unexpectedly on the screen. The fastest won tickets to the British band One Direction's concert.

At the NOS Alive festival, again using QR CODE technology, the first virtual currency at a music festival was created. During the 3 days of the festival, smartphones could be topped up with QR COINS to then make payments with this virtual currency in some of the bars of the enclosure and in 10 mobile points of sale. An innovative solution which makes carrying cash in your wallet superfluous, as a balance is readily available on your mobile to make payments.
