“Abstract” da apresentação The Latest Advancements in Delayed Coke Drum Inspection Techniques with Vitor Araujo, ISQ In order to provide refinery partners with the most advanced understanding of drum condition, CIA continually embarks on innovative R&D and continuous improvement programs to bring to market the latest technologies to meet the ever-changing inspection demands of the global coking industry. CIA understands the factors that contribute to drum deterioration. By proactively tracking the development and evolution of vessel distortions over time, with a focus on bulge depth, severity and sharpness including ID crack initiation and propagation, is proving to be the most important and cost effective way to manage the condition and care of coker vessels. After listening to the demands and requirements from across the global refining community, CIA is pleased to announce the following enhancements for improved drum inspection services: • Robotic Crack Detection for ID Crack Confirmation and Measurement • Hi-Definition Digital Video for Enhanced Remote Visual Inspection • Cone and Dome Scanning • Data Mining for Improved Statistical and Predictive Methods With a specific focus on coke drum life extension, the use of CIA’s services provides the dimensional data used in a combined approach with all follow-up strategies including: Engineering Analysis, On-line Monitoring of Damage, Operational Control and Optimization, Pre-turnaround Vessel Assessments, Drum Repair and Replacement, Remaining Life Assessments and Fitness for Service Assessments amongst others. This presentation will introduce these latest advancements and detail how they can and are being successfully used in combination with these activities for improved coke drum life extension.
